In this issue, occult detective Sam Feaveryear is drawn to Queen Hill Cemetery, where he witnesses Vampirella's rebirth. As she returns to the land of the living, she recounts her time in the afterlife meeting her mother, Lilith, who revealed Vampirella's true origins—revising them from an extraterrestrial from Drakulon to a more supernatural origin tied to Hell. The issue follows her as she adjusts to the modern world while grappling with the news that her mother was killed just as she was being resurrected.
