The "Holy War" storyline is set in a surreal, futuristic version of Los Angeles that blends elements of Christian mythology with a hyper-stylized, "hedonistic paradise" aesthetic. Following her resurrection in issue #0, Vampirella and her new sidekick confront the oppressive forces of the order she is sworn to destroy. The narrative explores themes of supernatural intrigue and "war genre" action as Vampirella navigates this eerie realm.
