In Nightwing Number 18, writer Kyle Higgins does more telling than showing, as Dick Grayson attempts to come to terms with the death of Damian Wayne in the aftermath of Batman Incorporated #8. The issue is heavy on dialogue and the surplus of conversation and narration only detracts from the emotional impact of Dick's mourning, which comes across as more existential crisis than actual grief as our eponymous hero feels curiously detached from the reality of Robin's passing.
