Description
In March of 1922, after a nearly disastrous fire, a group of concerned citizens gathered with one goal in mind, to form the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department. After many meetings, the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department ordered its first fire truck.
In 1992, a truck committee was formed to replace the existing 1969 American LaFrance aerial platform. After choosing Pierce Manufacturing, this committee worked for nearly 18 months designing the possible truck. In March of 1994, 72 years after that first meeting, the Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department took delivery of this state-of-the-art piece of fire apparatus.
