The Hot Wheels 2011 "Faster Than Ever" (FTE) Ferrari 458 Italia is a highly collectible 1:64 scale diecast car from its debut era in the mainline series. This model is particularly sought after because it features specialized copper-colored wheels paired with special nickel-plated axles that drastically reduce track friction. Because Mattel lost its Ferrari diecast licensing in 2014, these castings are no longer produced, making them highly desirable for collectors and track racers.
The casting was designated as Collector #146/244 for the 2011 mainline collection and was sub-grouped as 6 of 10 within the Faster Than Ever segment.
Blue Edition: A prominent color variation was released featuring a dark blue metallic body with identical tampos and the signature gold/copper-colored open-hole 5-spoke (OH5) FTE wheels.
