It began with a genuine concern for the protection of life and property from fire. 'Citizens banded together in early 1900 to organize what has today become the Winter Park Fire Department.'

Today firefighters are highly skilled professionals who pride themselves on 'extraordinary care' they so greatly deserve. The apparatus, equipment and techniques remain state-of-the art.

Firefighters are cross-trained to respond to both fire and medically related emergencies. These calls for assistance range from the simple to the complex.

The three City fire stations are staffed around-the-clock with units prepared to respond at a moments notice. City residents should feel safe in knowing that their Fire Department is one of the most highly respected organizations in the region.
